Scot and I met in the strangest of ways. I was living in VA, planning a move to Chicago. At the time I was enjoying a lets say casual relationship with a guy there (later to become known as Dipshit). I moved to Chicago with my company, and quickly determined that I liked the city, but not the weather. I quit my job and wandered south. I ended up in Atlanta because I had an uncle with a basement who lived here and I could rent/ crash there. So, I was still in contact with the guy from VA and he was still pissed at me- Dipshit had made a lot of bad decisions & had hoped me or rather my paycheck could bail him out. I told him they were his problems and he should deal with them. Well apparently I was giving him the same answer as an ex of his... one that lived in Birmingham, Alabama (about 2 hours from ATL). In a fit of anger he told me/us that we deserved each other since we both wanted him to suffer. He told us both this via an email to both of us. So the other guy reached out to me and asked if I had dated Dipshit, and was I as disturbed to know I had dated Dipshit as he was to know he had. I let him know the sad thing was we had never dated! Just a lot of sex... what can I say he was hot- not very bright, but very hot :-/ So this guy and I got to emailing, then chatting online, then talking. We found we shared a lot of common feelings/ likes/ dislikes and got along pretty well. As I am sure you have figured out by now the other guy was Scot.

We finally setup that on one of his trips to ATL to party & get away we would meet. I met him at his hotel- he opened the door and I know it sounds corny but I knew then he was the one. We went out that night to dinner, a club, and then back to his room. Keep your mind out of the gutter and your pants on! We did NOT have sex- I wanted to wait (hard for most of my longtime friends to believe this part of the story but *shrug*) because I knew I wanted more from the relationship & him than just sex. Well we laid in the bed for about 20 min before he said he was too wired to sleep and he went back out to anther all night club! He left me! It was kind of funny to be honest. The next day we went to a local amusement park and then a movie. We were pretty much inseparable from Saturday night through Sunday when he drove home. We dated for several months, driving back and forth two hours each way for weekends/ days off together. Early on I found out that he had been trying to move to Atlanta. He had put in a number of transfer request and was waiting to hear back. That Saturday morning of our first date he had been interviewing for a job in ATL.

About 7 months in to dating his monther died. His company was really shitty to him and fired him for taking days off to take care of her and then the estate after she died. His Manager did not belive his mother had died, and even told everyone he was lying! She was really nasty about it. When he brought in a news paper story about her death to HR (it was a really really really small town) the manager got scared. Since they had officially fired him they were in deep shit for violating some labor laws. So to settle they offered him some money and he moved to ATL. We continued to date, lived together and now have a house together. That was almost eight years ago now.

Sometimes we tell people we met online, sometimes we tell them via a mutual ex... no matter what most people love the story. We actually went to see Dipshit about two years after we started dating... he still wanted money and was still mad we would not help him! LOL
