I know for a fact that there are a number of you who are just DYING to become a member & chill with me along with these semi-cool regular members that make up KBB (or Kabe, they're interchangeable. I personally kind of prefer KBB). But maybe you feel uncomfortable joining a site "like this" as one of you has so graciously said to me in an e-mail. Well, here are a couple of things maybe you'd like to know, that way you can stop fiddling with your fiddle & start talking here.
1. It's free. I don't charge members money. If I could, I so would. But it's a forum & people probably wouldn't want to pay anyway. This isn't a porn site (as was decided a long time ago by members) or any other kind of site that charges money.
2. I don't send you things in the mail, as apparently some of you are concerned about in your e-mails. So don't be scared about mom or dad getting something in the mail that's 'for you.' That would require knowing exactly where you live, what street & all that. I don't even know the address of my right-hand man on this site, so no way do I care about where other people live.
3. I don't send out e-mails. I HAVE but I can safely say I don't. If you get e-mails from this site, those are those stupid, automatic notifications that are sent out, like Facebook & Youtube. I think I've only ever sent out two e-mails to members. Otherwise, don't worry about it. If you want to change whether or not you get those automatic e-mails, that can be changed in your settings.
4. No, we're not actual pervs. Some of the members like to joke around...a bit more than I like, but nonetheless, we're for the most part a good group of homos & bis & even the occasional straighty. If you really feel like something's wrong though, let me know in a private message.
5. "I don't talk because there aren't that many people who talk." Well that's precisely why I've finally decided to make this little blurb. We all encourage new members to talk & join us. It's fun getting to know people right? Right. Some new members who pipe up now & then say that they already know a little bit about all of us from reading all our discussions & that's great. You might think you don't "fit in" but everyone has felt that way at one point or another once they came here.
6. You read the story on Nifty most likely, you CAME to the site & maybe you've signed up. Why sign up if you don't want to get involved? Believe it or not, I take criticism well & I encourage members to speak their minds about what they honestly think of my stories. I DO receive negative comments, almost all through e-mail, but none of it here on the site. And sometimes I wish that would change, because if one person feels they don't didn't like something, but don't want to say it here, then I can't improve. And I'm on this site much more than I'm on my e-mail. Plus, if you got the balls to publicly say you didn't like a chapter, then you get my respect. And the people here know me when it comes to my respect of people, or lack of it.
So yeah, I just thought those tips might give you a little push if you're a non-member who prefers to just sit back & watch the discussions or a member who doesn't want to participate. The overwhelming majority of members on this site never say a word & many of them sign up & then never visit again. Don't be like them.
