To be fair, in a purely intellectual sense he isn't doing anything wrong if his actions don't damage another human being (IMHO as a philosophy student and liberal ethicist) so let E look all he wants. Did you know the minority among paedophiles (and ephebophiles, which technically is what E professes to be) that act on their impulses and abuse children are usually those who are most in denial about those urges. It's the force of repression that drives them to damaging acts of child abuse. The fact that E acknowledges his desires makes it less likely that he's going to do something illegal and damaging.
