i was chatting earlier w/ ty earlier and told him some of this story.

in the summer of 2000 i was hanging out online a lot a gay.com, in the local chat room. it was sometimes a lot of fun then before the chat rooms got over run with 'rent boys' (and worse). many of us had met in real life and gotten to know one another.

late one night i get this private chat from this dude who is chatting me up. i was always very honest about my age, my looks, and all that. he knew i was 52 years old and he said he liked older guys. he told me he was 22, blond, built, sexy and that i would not be disappointed -- and that he had this particular fantasy he wanted to act out. this consisted of him coming to my door naked and he wanted to know if there was some way to do this. i told him i could buzz him into my building and he could go into one of the public restrooms near where my apartment door is. he could get undressed there and then come knock on my door. chances of him being seen by anyone in my building was near zero but even if someone did, so what? at worst people would think it was funny and id get an even more notorious reputation!

about a half hour later my door buzzer rang and i buzzed him in and waited for the knock at the door. when i opened it i could hardly believe my eyes. what a friggn' hunk.

we talked for a little bit and he checked my place out and we got more comfortable and began playing around. he then asked me if i had a video camera, he wanted me to record our play. i didnt, unfortunatly! but what this told me is he was a bit of an exhibitionist. i asked him if hed done this kind of thing before and he said yes, many times. he told me he was from southern CA which seemed likely given his look and accent. id also asked him his name which i think he said was kyle but i figured that wasnt his real name.

anyway, we had a real good time but i never saw or heard from him again

one day i was poking around on some perv porn site and i came across these pictures. i'm not 100% sure these are him but if not this guy is his twin. same hair, build, jaw line, eyes -- the works. lets just say it was a night to remember:

Thanks, Sam, I thought you guys might like this. True, I've had a VERY interesting life, being from another planet and all, but not as "wild" as you might imagine. I was PAINFULLY shy as a kid and even into my 20s. After that I very slowly emerged from my shell. Still, the "wildest" times of my life were between 1997 and 2000 (age 49-52). Toward the end of that year I got severely "burned" and have basically kept to myself romantically and sexually ever since. In fact, being here in this forum is the "wildest" thing I've done along those lines in almost a decade! I think part of the reason I'm here is I'm going through some kind of "late life" transition. It feels "safe" hanging out with you guys precisely because you are mostly all so much younger and because we're not geographically close. I also appreciate the ground rules kell has put down. We all need limits and boundaries and we all need to respect those in other people. Still, that doesn't mean we can't have FUN!

I don't know where he is from (although I believe I heard him say some where in the MW -- not certain though). I *could* ask him, I have that ability, BUT, the problem with your question is that "Shay" (his stage name) is a soft-core porn actor and should be in control of that information, not me. In fact, there was a whole big fiasco that happened fairly recently related to one of these actors associated with fratman.tv who was 'outed'. I'm going to post this now and then do a little research and follow up w/ that story.

Corection: The "fiasco" had to do with TWO actors who were "outed". Not for being gay but for doing soft core porn.

I'm going to post some pictures of the guys and a link to a story you can follow up from. I think this whole story is very interesting. I'll say more why in a minute.

The above is not dated (I hate that on the web!) but I do know that subsequently, Donahoe was disqualified from participating in a collegiate wrestling competition due to this "fiasco." Subsequently he has transferred schools (UVA, I think) and is attempting to rebuild is competitive wrestling interests.

I find it ridiculous that they removed both of the guys from the wrestling team, and then mentioned how embarrassing the fiasco was for the University. As adults, I feel something like doing porn has nothing to do with the academic or sports spheres of their lives. Really, it was more embarrassing for the two guys than the University. Oh well...

And yes I do see the University's point of view I guess. Whatever.

One of the things we seldom think about is that actors, even porn actors, are REAL people and have REAL lives separate from characters they play. Kenny ("Cal") and Paul ("Nash") were friends and students at the University of Nebraska. Both were NCAA registered athletes, eligible to compete for the National Wrestling Championship in their devision. Paul had won a NCAA championship previously.

They auditioned for fratmen.tv, were accepted and decided to take the job. Why? Well, there are all kinds of reasons why a guy would do this. Obviously $$$ is one of them. It pays well. Another is that some guys LIKE the attention, even if they are straight.* They did something they enjoyed doing, weren't ashamed of, got paid well for and a lot of other people enjoyed paying money to watch them do it. American capitalism at its finest! The consequence for them, however, was that this became an embarrassing scandal because of the publicity that followed their exposure.

Someone was determined to get these guys in trouble. We don't know who. Whoever it was created a fake blog and called the news media. When the U N found out, they kicked both guys off the wrestling team without consulting the NCAA. They reported to the NCAA that they had a violation of the Division 1 bylaws. But, the reason the University publicly gave for kicking them off the team was, "the athletes failed to maintain the high standard of excellence that had been set for them." In other words, they didn't say they were kicked off for being on a gay porn site OR had broken the bylaws. Prior to this both, especially Paul, had been in some 'trouble' (not uncommon for college students). However, they weren't kicked off the team until after their jobs had become public knowledge.

There were two bylaws that were of concern. One states that a NCAA athlete can get paid for work so long as they are paid for work actually performed and the employer receives no additional benefit from the athlete's standing in the NCAA. Clearly, by those terms, the work that they did was allowed. Fratman.tv didn't say they were athletes or use their real names. The other issue had to do with using a name or image of a NCAA athlete for the direct promotion of a commercial product or service. U N maintained that because a picture was used, this was an infraction of that by-law and that is why they withdrew their eligibility. When fratmen.tv removed the picture (still maintaining it was not used to promote a product or service) their NCAA eligibility was restored. By this time, however, both guys had moved on to other wrestling programs at other schools.



*(Let me tell you, in real life, there is little more maddening than a straight 'boy' who likes to flirt with us gay 'boys'! It can be fun but it can drive you crazy!)
