i think got it sorted. i went to her house (by force) and spoke to her and pleaded in a not-so-obvious manner. this is what is like the gist of what i said: *clears throat* my sexuality is something that i took a long time to come to terms with and it concerns me and only me and i told you because i thought that i was in some wierd way obliged to do so and since its one of my problems i would like to come out to my family and friends myself and not throught anyone or anything but MYSELF.

In gist, E's words meant to her as:

"Please please! dont tell anyone! i am only saying that ill tell them myself because i am hoping youre less retarded that i already think you are and if you tell them ill keel over and die! ...thank you."

What E was hoping to mean:

"Tell them, I kill you!"

i wasnt going to post what she said coz i thought that it was just bullshit. she said that she blocked me on FB, and yes she did, and she did it because she was very unsure of what she felt about me. now who the hell will block a person just coz you are "unsure"?!?!?!?! oh, and she also said that she will give me the time to come out myself and she WASNT going to tell anyone, i just rolled my eyes as soon as she turned around.

I'm a bit late to this discussion but the way you handled it is just fine, E. Very mature, honest, rational. It is true, that doesn't always work. Sometimes one has to be more aggressive -- but not always. You did the right thing.

Just like you said, it takes time to come to terms with your sexuality for yourself (called 'coming out to yourself'). It also takes time for other people who have (usually) been operating under the assumption you're straight. When you tell them you're gay, their whole 'head' has to readjust. So, I can understand her saying she was unsure how she felt about you (being gay). One possibility is she will tell your brother even tho she said she wouldn't. Or maybe it will just 'slip out' at some point. OR maybe you and she will become better friends because you trusted her and she should respect you for that. After all, you did it out of respect for her and her feelings. You didn't NOT tell her which would have been the perpetuation of a kind of lie by omission, censoring the truth.

NEWAY, you did it the way you did it and don't let ne1 tell you, you didn't do it right.

Maybe we should have a "coming out" thread on this forum?
