just a random question here: according to y'all what is "bad taste"?

not people. food, clothing stuff like that.

well bad taste in food is simple enough. its food thats gross, no1 likes, etc. bad taste in clothes wud be like things that look tacky, or they contrast horribly, or clothes that r outdate, 2 big, 2 small, etc. like an oversized sweater from the 80s w/ skinny jeans & rainboots is bad taste

in english, e, the word 'taste' has several meanings. MOSTLY it applies to the way foods and other things you might put in your mouth taste -- their flavor.

however it can also mean, for example, to 'sample'. such as 'i'm going to give him a taste of my anger' or 'i got a taste of what it must be like to be a teenager from hanging out w/ them online' etc.

then there is this whole 'he/she has "good taste" or "bad taste in clothes" or "no taste at all"'. this usually has to do with 'style' -- whether one has a sense of style. it could be clothing or furnishings or art or even the way someone talks or what they say. "that waz in bad taste" as a reply to something someone said usually means 'that was tactless' or inappropriate. ur comment about alex's sister on FB was in bad taste.

@E; its hardly my fault you're completely uninterested in sports like other people. The Games are a wonderful experience for those who WANT it to be.

@Kell; Its disappointing that you're reduced to jokes about one's nation. I rather hoped that you were above that kind of thing, but it does appear that my hopes are in vain. Tis too bad, its supposed to be a chance for people to come together, but that's less likely when we demean nations without cause.
