My E-mails

ever since i started writing people have been sending me emails shortly after i post things up on nifty.org & usually theyre just 'hey i really like ur story keep up the good work' kinda stuff

& every now & then i get emails that stand out. believe it or not ive gotten emails how much people DONT like my stories, what they didnt like, what they think i should do, etc. so i figured id start showing u guys real emails i get that stand out to me (note: emails that STAND OUT, not every email i get so dont expect this to be an active topic)

starting with today, sent to me about an hour ago:

Hey Daredevil,

I'm just writing to let you know how much I'm enjoying your Rory story! It's so well-written and it's such a pleasure to read a story that's free from spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors! There were a few chapters where two words were accidentally written as one word, but other than that, a total pleasure to read!

I really don't like Rory! I know he's the main character, but he's just so unlikable! He just uses people just to get his rocks off. I know he's had a horrible life and he doesn't even know what love is, but he has Trent, and Trent seems like a really decent kid who's in love with him. Trent wants to get closer to Rory, but Rory just wants to have his fun w/no attachment, no commitment, nada.

I like Caleb also. He seems like a really good kid who can actually carry on a conversation with Rory and not be put off by Rory's rudeness. And I absolutely loved the last chapter where they were running from the cops! That was hysterical! Smiley emoticon

I noticed this story yesterday and wasn't going to read it b/c number one, there were already ten chapters and I didn't have time to play catch up, and number two, b/c I noticed you haven't been updating frequently. But today I had some free time and thought I'd check it out anyway, and I'm glad I did! I think it's a terrific story and I look forward to your next update. Hopefully we won't have to wait months and months......

yeah, that is a nice email. its like the characters are as alive in her imagination as they are in yours. for a writer, that has to be just about the best thing going, i'd assume! congrats.

it IS a pretty good feeling. its 1 thing when u have friends (u guys) who stick around & say nice things...its another when a total stranger, someone u dont even know, compliments what u do.

Parts of your stories sux most notably how long you take to write them and the low quality in relation to the wait...but I still read most of them.

I wouldn't be sticking around if the writing weren't good. Obviously there's the great conversation and friendship that we all share (/mush) but frequent, high-quality story updates are what keep me coming back even after having been busy for a while.

hi there!

i would just like to say that i absolutely LOOOOVE your stories and i hope you put another one out soon. my favorite story is 'travis and connor' but i like them all!

also, i think i actually recognize you! did you write the story _____________? because i seem to remember reading that story on nifty.org and wanting to join your forum but then you stopped writing it and started to write 'noah and jaden'

please start writing that story again! i loved it so much and i think other people would like it a lot too if you started writing it again but thats up to you... :/

anyway, please keep up the amazing work you do

the day after i submit my chapters to nifty, they email me back saying "i have added this part to your story" & every time they always have a different misspelled word(s) lol. but theyve never ever added anything else, like telling me to keep posting my other stories lol

Hi Kell

I started reading Noah & Jaden Thursday of last week and ended up reading every
chapter through the weekend. I just wanted to say.... What an awesome story! I
can't believe where you have taken the two and what has gone on with them. So
many sad things have happened. I love this story so much. It has been fun to
read and has made me cry more than several times.

And I enjoy reading the conversations you have with other people on your forum,
they're really vrey funny. That "e" guy says some pretty stupid stuff, but its funny
(don't tell him I said that ;D) and at least hes eems nice.

Please keep the story going and if you can, maybe some of the chapters could be
posted a little sooner? :-) not sure I can last several months without reading
it! LOL

Anyway, thanks for a great story and I hope to read more soon. Take care!
