yup. originally, the folks finding out shud happend much much later, but it just came out this way.

it felt more natural and realistic that it happened this way.

honestly i really dont find jade's parent's finiding his sexuality through the journal realistic, let alone reading a journal of a 15 year old boy..... obviously he wil have alot of thing that had to do w/ sex, i thought they should've known beter **running to hide my journal**

i think he just mistakenly left it on the floor, his parents saw it, didnt know wat it was, looked in it 2 c & saw stuff they didnt know bout him. its a pretty hard thing 2 do: just put it bak & not look at it at all

at least i found a good hiding place for mine (i think), lol. but it is kinda uderstandable that his parents want to be close to him. the part where noah's dad says "define doing it" or something like that i thought that it was out right cruel!!!! im sure that he jolly well knew what kinda dtuff that they were doing.

i dont think he wanted 2 be cruel by asking his son that, i think he just wants 2 make sure he knows wats going on

You always have these stories where the character just comes out and tells his family, and they're always so lovey dovey about it and all is well in the end. But that doesn't seem real, not based on what we know of Jaden. I mean, think about it, Jade kept the secret of his attraction from Noah for almost a decade, so he's pretty good at keeping secrets. He's also a little clumsy at times, and that could explain why he left the journal out in the open.

no, you're very right. It was about when Noah's mom passed away, so not quite a decade, but getting closer to it as the years go by.

even then, i wudnt say he had FEELINGS 4 noah...id say actually having a crush on since 11 or 12

Ok, but my point is that he was able to hide stuff like that for a long time, so why couldn't he have also been hiding it from his parents, who then reacted badly because they had to read his journal to find out?

well, you aren't the boss of me. I'm glad that Jade's parents weren't completely psychopathic about him and Noah, and it was pretty cool that they all had dinner together and seemed ok with it.

i agree. at 1st, wen i maybe slightly hinted at them not being cool w/ it, i wanted 2 make it that way, where they disapproved. but in the end, i thot "ya know wat, the hell w/ it. they will be ok w/ it whether they wanna be or not."
