You weren't kidding around when you said something big was going to happen this chapter.

First of all, I feel terrible for Noah, rape is a terrible thing and even though its a story it still bothers me that its happening to someone. The fact that it was done by a girl to a guy would tend to make it worse, simply because society won't ever come to support Noah in this case. I kinda wish I was in Noah's little world now to give him a giant hug, he probably needs one right now.

As for how this plays out in the plot, I think that this is simply going to lead to greater conflict between Noah and his dad. I think his dad is going to assume that this is just another cry to call off the dating situation between the older peeps, which is going to really hurt Noah's trust in his dad.

The thing is, I don't think it was entirely about sexual desire. Yes, Shannnon has a huge thing for Noah, but I think a lot can be said that she wanted to maintain control. Since she's older than Noah, she possibly would have wanted to be the 'top' in this case. As for the whole handcuffs thing, that waas simply to prevent her from being overpowered by Noah, who clearly didn't want any part of this.
Its totally still rape. Question for the crew then, reactions? What are yours. More to the point, what's the first thing you do once you get out?

Just to add, I completely, utterly understand Noah's reaction. From a psychological/legal perspective, Noah did exactly what people are expected to do.

Amen to that. While I would have been pretty fucking messed up by being raped, I still probably would have crushed a few of her bones.

Yes, we need another chapter, but Master Kellen chooses to write his stories on a rotation, so we probably won't see another NAJ chapter for a little bit.

It was pretty disturbing, but I thought it worked, the writing style and everything made it believable, and I guess that's why we found it to be so disturbing.

I enjoyed the entire story immensley, and Kell keeps delivering with good chapters that pull you in.
