| Well thank god Noah and Jared didn't do anything but now Jaden and Noah have had a big argument I really hope they get back together again. And btw in case you can't tell I am loving this story I think it has just passed Travis and Connor to be my favourite but I think it's only because it is longer. Just finished Chapter 40, only four more chapters left for me to read. Edit: Just finished chapter 42 and oh my god I really feel for Noah being told he can't keep the bady and having to tell a girl that his ex boyfriend is single and is interested in her oh my god that must have been hell. Your stories even though I have only read Travis and Conor and almost finished Noah and Jaden have given me a lot to think about with regards to relationships and life your stories are just so lifelike it's unbelievable. |

And I don't know what it is about your stories but I have just loved reading them they just seem so real. They also make me think that one day they could become real for me weird I know but hey life is weird sometimes lol Can't wait to see what happens next... My only problem now is what to read next? The story you linked me to or your Rory story or your other story???? Hmmmmmmmm |

| xD the "nick & taylor" story is on hiatus cuz im having problems writing it, so i'd recommend either "rory" or the story i linked you to, which is my favorite online story, "a class by himself." its by an author named comicality who has MANY stories, all of them just as addicting as that one. i strive to be as good as him someday i'll say go read "rory" first & save the better one, his, for last hahaha | |

| Because I don't think I would be able with reading two stories at once lol I think I would get them both muddled up lol I mean I'm already a bit confused with how Noah and Jaden finished lol. Oh I thought nick and Taylor was finished and that's why it was locked well unlucky hope you continue it soon. Right I shall start reading Rory then. In my opinion your already the best online author I've met I mean for no other stories I've read have I gone to their website and signed up to their forum lol. |

| It's very weird as a Brit reading about teens casually discussing buying a car. I guess in your part of the world walking is less of a legitimate transport option, but here insuring a car is so expensive that the only people I know who have cars are those who need them for work and it's pretty much the biggest drain on personal resources. That aside, I like this chapter a lot. Noah taking on a second job to save up for a car is a nice way to show how he's maturing and the discussion about having kids really ties in well to that. And of course it's nice to see him and Jaden slowly rebuilding their relationship | |

| i should mention that getting a car , especially as teens here, really isnt as simple as i made it out to be. alex is spoiled collin is...easily excited, & between the 2 of them egging noah on about getting a car, plus the others getting wrapped up in the idea, made it easy for them to suddenly jump on noah & insist he get a vehicle. that whole lunch seen was identical to what my friends did to me junior year of high school one day (regardless of the fact that at the time, i didnt have my license yet). only i DIDN'T give in to their demands lol | |

| Sex and babies go hand-in-hand. Too bad this was boy on boy.
It was nice to hear about Noah's friends' aspiration. It reminded me a little when I was that age and hoping to be something completely different.

| yeah. a friend of mine graduated high school last june & we were discussing how time flies, nostalgia, the like. and since this story is coming to an end itself, i wanted the group to have a little bit of bonding regarding their personal timelines. | |

| A not-too-long chapter in my opinion, but it really does open up the dynamics of the group and how they can gel, even if they are one short. Speaking of which, from Noah's response to Alex wanting to ask Gina to the prom, it's clear he's completely let go of West while being respectful in his usual way. In a way, it's a really good show of how the guys are growing up. Now I look forward to seeing how the baby will play a part in Noah and Jaden's lives together. And I really do hope that perhaps Jaden might consider, perhaps, going with Noah to either the same college or somewhere nearby, perhaps UNH? It'll give them some distance without being too long-distance-y. My opinion, of course. But I'd really hate to have them break up or even take a break. We all know what happens the last time, and now that they're back together, on top of the love the two have had since forever, Jade being there for Noah in a way no one could have been since his mother died, and Noah constantly doting on Jade in the best way a best friend and boyfriend could, breaking them up or having them just take a break from each other is nothing short of incredulous at this point. All in all, can't wait for the next chapter! P.S. Just curious, would Noah ever try to top Jaden? It'd be nice of they could swap roles once in a while...hopefully. | |

| It'll be nice if they don't breakup but it's also okay if they do, cos don't most highschool romances end up that way?
Also, is the university that Noah's trying to "get in to" a REAL one? I thought you invented it! Sheesh!

| yes, the university of new england is a real school. it's a tiny specialist medical school thats like half a mile down the road from my late grandparents' house that we rent out to people. it used to be called st. francis back in the day. and yes, the majority of high school romances don't last forever, let alone past high school or college. - nicjude wrote:

i first read that as "stop" & i was so confused haha. to answer the question though, i think he HAS topped him, hasn't he? i don't remember lol. most of my main characters in my stories are, in general, versatile, with the narrator's usually being slightly more bottomish. i do that because the physical description of all the feelings are significantly easier to write from that perspective than from someone who tops all the time. but i'll go back through this story & see if noah has ever really topped jaden. if he hasn't....then it'll certainly be considered lol and that review was awesome! that's some serious competition with alex's reviews hahaha

| It was really interesting to see Noah's friends and him thinking about where they are in life and what they want to do when they're older. I really liked the careers you thought about for Noah and Jaden, I think they fit the characters perfectly, not just in terms of their interests but in the personalities you constructed for the characters. Jaden is an activist, and its great that you imbued him with that spirit and got him thinking about activist work as a full time career; it's hell on wheels most of the time, but when you actually accomplish things it feels like the greatest thing in the world. As for Noah, I could actually see him as a pediatrician, he's got the brains and the perseverance to do it. I wonder though, how much of that is based on Noah being raped earlier and wanting to find ways of helping other kids who might be in that kind of situation? I guess not that much, since pediatric medicine doesn't really cover psychological issues, but still...
Interesting conversation between NAJ about their relationship status once they leave high school and move on to college. It's tough when you know that you love someone and they're going to be separated by a long distance, and I'll admit it's really hard to deal with that. Sometimes it really is for the best to just have a break and see who else is out there that's a bit more local to you once you're in your new school. By the same token, I like to think that NAJ could make it work; it's harder because you can't address any physical or sexual needs, but if you put down some guidelines there's no reason why it couldn't be made to be successful, especially when you have holidays and other breaks together.
Utterly off topic: Kell, in America is everything called a college, or is there some kind of distinction between a college and a university? Up here we definitely make that distinction, and proper universities actually get a lot more government funding for their activities than colleges get. Colleges up here are also focused a lot more on manual trades instruction, so a lot of electrical/carpentry style programs, while universities are the traditional place for more academic learning, like your medicine/law/arts/education degrees. Just curious because when you said Noah's going to college for med school, it was a big disconnect for me.

| excellent review mr ritchie!
i didnt base noah's want to work as a children's physician on what happened to him, i had already planned that out beforehand. i wanted to make it a professional correspondence to what he'd be like as a parent: aka, good lol. it's a modest job & its in an environment that helps people, especially the most innocent kind.
here in the states, there's a slight difference between the terms college & university when it comes to their actual status. universities usually get more funding & are larger in terms of student body. i've never heard of a distinction between college & university for academic vs manual trades but at the same time, ive also never heard of any school with university in its title being designated as a labor sort of school. so in that respect, im not sure.
but in typical conversation, college & university dont really have a difference. i think we use the term college in conversation the same way other parts of the world use the term university. "heading off to university" isnt something we say. if youre talking about a specific school with "university" in its name, then u might use university depending on whatever ur talking about. "the university is thinking about using student security staff to walk people home late at night."
and we NEVER say "uni" lol

What do you mean by 'modest'? It requires a medical degree, that shit is difficult. Plus (especially in America where private healthcare is the norm for some bizarre reason) it earns a ton of money. I wouldn't call being a pediatrician a modest job.

| i didnt mean in the actual occupation itself, i meant the nature of the job. it doesnt come with the same grandiosity that a brain surgeon has, or a psychiatrist or some other big thing like that. least it doesn't have that rep here. | |

| Great chapter! The arrival of the baby was done really well. I think Noah's reaction felt very realistic and the whole scene has the right level of significance, that is it wasn't made out to be this life-changing event ending with Noah deciding to keep the baby or anything. I also thought the scene with the therapist was good. That relationship is a unique and prescribed one and I think you captured that. So... when's the next chapter out? | |
