I hate to be a bit of a spambot about it, but my research is finally starting to get going, I was wondering if it would be possible for members of my target demographic to lend a helping hand and fill out a survey for me.
I'm looking for individuals between the age of 16-25. The research is a quantitative survey, and should take up no more than half an hour of your time. I'm looking to see how much of a barrier homophobia and transphobia are to participating in organized athletics. You don't have to be queer or an athlete to participate, I'm looking to hear from a wide cross-section of the target population. I can't compensate you for your time, but would greatly appreciate any potential support. If you PM me letting me know you're interested, I can send more information and get this all set up.

Just wanted to share Delaware has legalized same sex marriage. It became the 11th state to legalize it only 39 more states to go and a few territories...

im happy for that obviously, but i read the news on huffpost, in which that article mentioned that same sex couple in delaware wont gain any more rights or benefits, but theyre more or less now just called married couples. so im not quite sure what they meant or, if thats true, how that works but hey, its good news all around lol

One of my friends was involved in calling people and getting people interested. From what he said and the director of Equality Delaware said same=sex couples will have the same marriage rights as straight couples.

then huffpost LIED to me! what else is new lol

Kell, what Huffpost was talking about was that Deleware had civil unions, which retained the state level rights and responsibilities of marriage. The title 'marriage' implies different rights at the federal level, which won't be recognized until the death of DOMA. It's a semantic argument for the most part.

to answer u zack, im going up to maine tomorrow & saturday i guess. my dad is kicking out some tenants who have broken the lease to a cottage we rented to them so we're helping them move out their stuff tomorrow & saturday. its gonna be hot again tomorrow too ughhhh.
