Aww! Things are afoot, I like it! Chris is a fantastic character, I think it's great how you've taken into account the heterosexual people in the story, and the way that a whole family is changed by how one person is or what they do. And being outed... seeing how Connor deals with that will be so interesting. An in-out relationship often has to face these problems and I think it's great the way your stories address these real life issues. More and more your writing is taking on a really mature and professional style even while you keep those storylines and characters that we started out loving so much, and that great sense of humour. So GREAT chapter, possibly the best so far in this story IMO. Keep it up!

That was a pretty cool chapter. I really don't think that things will blow up or anything in their school, maybe a few whispers behind backs but I'm pretty sure that things won't get too bad. Like alex said, you're getting funnier, at least your writing is. The part at the bus stand with the occasional grining kinda humour its pretty cool.

Funnily enough, this chapter, although not jam-packed full of exciting goings-on, really connected with me. I mean, I can identify with so much of what was going on for Connor - like the uncertainty about being out, even when you know it won't cause any trouble. I think it's just getting into the habit of being secretive, and therefore feeling exposed and vulnerable whenever anyone knows something new about you, and it kind of seeps into the rest of your life as well - I'm often accused by some of my friends of being more secretive about what's going on, and especially by my family. It just feels weird, and that's something that I'm still working to get past. So I really felt identified with the character in this chap. As well, the idea of lost friends reconnecting is an interesting one. Friendships can be so easy at times, and so difficult at others, and sometimes you find yourself doing things which in the end don't do anyone any favours.
Anyway, I'm rambling. LOL I've got to stop using your stories as the jumping off point for a long musing on random junk. Anyway, I like the stuff you've set up, and the struggle in Jacob between being this wise uncle figure to Connor, guiding him through his coming out, and being a scorned friend with his own insecurities and issues. I think that's something you could build upon, he's a character I really like. Keep it up, this chapter was, as always, exceedingly well written XD

the same thing was w/ me (which is y i put it in about connors feelings): ive always KNOWN since i realized i was gay that there wud be no problems 4 me at skool wat so ever & if there were problems at home, they wudnt be that big. yer right though, its a matter of feeling comfortable wen its still secretive & the idea of ppl finding out about it after uve bin comfortable 4 that long, its nerve-wracking.

you should writemore about jacob. lke alex said , he's awesome. and its also more of the opposite what you and alex and most of everyone has gone trough after coming out. i think. i've never got together with a friend that i've lost. but there is one person that i would die to get back to and the part which connor with jacob thing is like what i'd like to happen to me. it was cool to read. and the ending, awesome! lol. its was quite funny and i loved it lol.

I like how you've taken an aggressive stance with connor's attitude towards homophobia, I know I'd hate the idea of my brother being fucked about because I'M gay - luckily, he's got the nicest friends in the world, and he's more than capable of standing up for what he believes in which is part of why I wuv him so much haha
I think it's brilliant that you're confronting these issues with your stories, and I think you've taken a different enough angle on it to seem fresh and not like you're repeating themes, which is something I find can happen to a lot of gay writers who have multiple stories, they can end up just writing the same story over and over again **cough** dom luka **cough** - I really enjoy the guy's stories, but I think they can be a little repetitive, which is one of the reasons I love Comicality so much, because every one of his stories is so different in its style and content, especially with the fantasy elements which he brings in with young gay fiction. But we're reviewing KELL here! lol

Being outed = not good. IDK how the folks are going to react, but given how cool Chris is about everything I can't imagine that they're too homophobic. But I do think that the shock of the whole thing might cause some upset. I think it's good that Connor will have the support of Travis and Chris to get him through this, one of the worst things in any scenario is feeling like you're all alone, that there's nobody you can talk to or who understands where you're coming from. I've been lucky enough that that's never been an issue when it comes to being gay, but I know how feeling that something that's such a big part of you, who you love, isolates you from your friends and family, could be awful.
This chapter was really well written, I liked the balance between the focus on Travis and Connor and on Connors relationship with his brother, as well as the development of the plot. Can't wait to see how this all pans out!

Isn't getting thrown out of the closet ever so much fun! Perhaps someone who was outed as opposed to coming out can explain how much worse it was having it not be on your own terms.
